EPOG Academy (EPOG = Enjoyable Pain of Growth) is an education-based non-profit that uses professional leadership coaching and evidence-based personal development to empower underserved high school students to take control of their future.
We provide a virtual support system that facilitates growth by connecting students with a professional leadership coach and giving them access to our evidence-based online resources.

High Quality Coaching
We pair students with a professional leadership coach who meets with them 1:1 via online video chats throughot the semester. Coaching is distinctly different from mentoring and counseling. Coaches build students’ capacity without giving directions or advice. They provide encouragement, feedback, and accountability within a supportive environment to help students overcome obstacles, discover their strengths, and take concrete steps toward their goals.

Evidence-Based Exercises
In tandem with coaching, students undergo a series of evidence-based exercises that develop their ability to articulate where they want to go, uncover their unique strengths, set tangible goals, and cultivate a growth mindset as they work towards a future they design. These writing prompts, videos, and activities help students increase their POWER: Purpose, Ownership, Wisdom, Execution, and Resilience.
