Tim Harrison - Founder & CEO

Tim Harrison aka "Coach T" graduated from Rice University in 2020, where he studied Psychology, competed on the Division 1 Basketball team, and served as the President of the Black Male Leadership Initiative. After graduating in the middle of the pandemic and widespread social unrest, he felt called to make a greater contribution to the world.

Shortly after, he came across a quote by Howard Thurman who said “Don’t ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive, and go do that because what the world needs is people who have come alive”. He realized that what makes him come alive is this vision of a world where more people realize their potential. A world where everyone had access to top-tier resources to fully develop themselves no matter what zip code they're born in, and a world where education takes into account the holistic potential of each individual. He decided that I wanted to play a part in creating this world so in the summer of 2020 he turned down a 6 figure job offer to pursue his life mission to inspire and equip people to realize their potential.

He then got certified as a coach and created the vision for EPOG Academy. Shortly after, he was serendipitously introduced to Gregory Benedikt who left his job in private equity to serve as EPOG Academy’s co-founder and CFO for the first 18 months of the company’s history.
