Our mission is to make personal development part of education

Education is more than just academics. As we fail to tap into our youth’s full potential, we miss out on their greatest contributions while many fall through the cracks into disconnection, which disproportionately impacts communities of color. In a time of accelerating change, educators and parents are looking for ways to prepare students to thrive in the rapidly evolving 21st century.

Research shows that brief, non-academic interventions that target students’ psychology (mindset, feelings, and identity) can lead to large gains in achievement and wellbeing for months and even years later. Most schools, however, don't have the capacity to effectively implement these best practices. That’s where EPOG Academy comes in…

The Enjoyable Pain of Growth Academy ("EPOG Academy") is a non-profit whose mission is to make personal development part of education to measurably enhance student achievement and wellbeing while making our services accessible. We do this through an innovative model of professional leadership coaching and evidence-based personal development programs designed to inspire and equip students to realize their P.O.W.E.R. to overcome obstacles, understand themselves, and achieve their goals.
