We start with the “Theory of Change”
Academic intelligence is only a fraction of what is necessary to prepare youth for adult success.
Psychological resources are the components of mind associated with self-direction, self-determination, and emotional intelligence.
A growing body of research demonstrates that cultivating psychological resources leads to a variety of positive outcomes including increased academic achievement, graduation rates, and wellbeing.
What is the Theory of Change?
Our framework incorporates leading theories of behavior change from psychological research including Intentional Change Theory (Boyatzis, 2006), which is the most predictive pattern of sustained behavior change, and Transtheoretical Model of Change Theory (Prochaska, 1997) which takes into account the natural progression of development an individual must go through to change.
Our program is designed to measurably increase psychological resources based on our core principles of P.O.W.E.R.
